Heartbeat music player
Overview
Syncbeat is a heart monitoring app designed for fitness enthusiasts, providing the perfect music for any kind of activity.
The app is connected to a wearable device to read the users heartbeat. Then Syncbeat selects tracks based on tempo and personalised music genres to match the user’s heart rate. It provides a nice ambience during a relaxing walk and that extra boost for intense workouts.
How did I get started?
This app was a personal project. The challenge was to complete the full design process within a month.

The moodboard
The first step to put together the overall look and feel of the app.
The prototype
This was a great testing tool that helped me finding some workflow issues and identifying the user pain points.
Findings
One of the issues identified through the testing phase with the prototype, was getting back to the music player after selecting the music.
In the original design, the only way to go back was by tapping on the Heart button on the navigation bar.
Now I have also included a mini player card. This tells the users that the selected music is playing and they can also tap on the mini card to go back to the music player screen.
Latest designs
The user interface for this project is not fully developed.
